Stop valve, also known as cutoff valve, is a forced seal valve. When closing, exert pressure on valve flap, in order that forced seal face doesn’t leak. When a medium enters the valve below the valve flap, operating force shall overcome resistance. Resistance refers to frictional force of valve rod and padding, as well as thrust from medium pressure. Valve closing force is greater than opening force, so valve rod shall have large diameter. Otherwise, valve rod will be bent. Its connection type includes flange connection, screwed connection and welded connection.
